What apps do you use in your daily fitness and nutrition routine? As a personal trainer and runner fitness apps are a huge part of my daily routine. Everyone has their favorites depending on their daily habits. These are a few of my personal favorites. If you want to please share apps that help you.

I am not endorsing any of these apps for any reason than I personally use every day. I am not receiving compensation and was not asked to mention any app in this list.

iPhone Apps:

Daily Mile:
I use this app to easily log my daily workouts. I appreciate how it shows weekly, monthly & yearly mileage. Truthfully, their actual website is a lot more robust with stats. But the app gets the job done!

Lose It:
This is an excellent app for logging nutrition. It complies that macronutrient breakdown for each day and week (think protein, carbohydrates, fat intake). It also tracks your body weight and workouts. You can pay to upgrade for additional features. I have used the free version since 2010.

Water Alert:
Tracks hydration intake. You can change your goal as you desire. Gives a bar graph of each day to compare how you are doing day to day and towards reaching your goal. Gives push notifications to remind you to hydrate.

Instagram:
Instagram is yet another social media platform that can encompass the good, bad & ugly of the internet. That being said, it can also be a huge running community. Like many others, I post a daily workout pic and enjoy the camaraderie of fellow workout enthusiasts. It functions like an accountability group for me. It is exciting to watch other's reach their goals and cheer them on along the way!

Apple Watch App:

Nike+ Run Club:
I have used this on all 3 of my versions of the Apple Watch. I really enjoy clicking to start a run from the watch face screen. I like the metrics displayed during workouts. I use it for running, gym workouts, cycling, hiking, swimming, etc. Here is my previous review of the series 2 Nike+ Apple Watch.

Apps are a convenient way to keep track of your mileage, workouts, hydration and nutrition. What app is best for you is the one that helps you to achieve your goals!
