Drop Weight to Run Faster?

Will dropping weight make you run faster?

  1. 12 weeks ago I entered a 12 week weight loss challenge sponsored by my employer. I started out at 205.6, and today at my final weigh-in I was 179.5 pounds. A total of 26.1 pounds.

    I play fast pitch softball, and I'm really curious to see if I really am "lighter on my feet" when I play. Our season begins next week and I'm anxious to run the bases hard and see for myself.
