Ever wonder if you are over eating? Here are 5 easy ways to control potion sizes when eating.


Use smaller plates. Using small plates makes is easy to control portions.

Don’t eat from a bag or large container. Break up a large serving into smaller amounts. When you reach for it the portion is already pre-set.

When dining out order from the kids’ menu. Kids’ meals are smaller than regular entrees so you will automatically be portion controlled.

Share a meal. Split a meal with a friend of family member to save cash and calories.


Dish up vegetables first to leave less room for calorie dense dishes. Vegetables are full of vitamins, minerals, fibers and water. Add them to your plate first to limit the space for calorie rich food.
