Product Review: Spiru-Tein & PB2 & Super Seed

written by runnergirl training

What is your go-to protein shake? I recently decided to switch up mine and set out to find one that met my requirements. It must be vegan, easily digestable, not taste like grit or powder when mixing by hand or in a blender, and help with weight loss.

I like to use almond or coconut milk, Spiru-Tein protein powder, Bell Plantation’s PB2 powdered peanut butter and Garden Of Life Super Seed.

Nature’s Plus Spiru-Tein is my current favorite protein powder. It is available in an array of products including whey protein or soy-free/xylitol. I find the regular Spiru-Tein to be my favorite. They have several flavors and offer packets to large containers to fit your needs. It also helps with weight loss by using spirulina.

Bell Plantation’s PB2 powdered peanut butter is a great way to add in some flavor and protein with adding a lot of fat or calories as with traditional peanut butter spread. I have found it to be easily digestible and not cause any stomach problems. Traditional peanut butter is difficult for me to digest at times.

Garden Of Life Super Seed is a great way to add in fiber and Omega-3 fatty acids. It is easily digestible too and has a pleasant light cinnamon aroma.

My guilty pleasure is to add in vegan vanilla animal cookies to work as a thickener. The consistency reminds me of an old school soda fountain thick milk shake. This is my favorite protein shake for pre/post workout or a quick meal. What are your favorite protein shake recipes?

All statements are my own opinions and I received no compensation for mentioning these brands.
